Northern Beaches Christian School (NBCS) delighted audiences with their spectacular production of Mary Poppins, staged in their renowned Marina Prior Theatre. Red Globe Productions was thrilled to partner with NBCS, bringing a suite of advanced technical production elements to complement the school’s existing infrastructure and significantly enhance the audience experience.

This production was particularly special, showcasing seamless flying effects for Mary and Bert, executed safely and professionally through our collaboration with Axis Rigging and Entertainment. Isaac Owen, the production’s director, praised Red Globe Productions for making the complex process of safely flying students effortless and risk-free, allowing his creative vision to flourish without hassle.
Our equipment
Our comprehensive gear deployment included Global Truss F45 truss systems, Bomac Track and Trolley solutions, and robust motors and rigging equipment. Lighting design featured 8 Ayrton Rivale, 8 Robe T1 fixtures, Roxx Pars, and our new LED StarCloth providing stunning visuals that brought scenes vividly to life. Additionally, the introduction of our new Look Solutions CryoFog generated dynamic atmospheric effects, much to the delight of Red Globe’s director, Andrew Yager.
Audio clarity and reliability were paramount, achieved through industry-leading Shure Axient Wireless systems and crystal-clear JAG Audio Headsets. The deployment of DX168 stage boxes and ME1 Personal Mixing Units ensured pristine sound quality and precise audio control for performers and technical crews alike.
Collaboration in design and installation
Red Globe Productions provided extensive technical support and meticulous systems engineering throughout the event, addressing venue-specific challenges. Technical supervisor Ben Carlisle oversaw the student-led operation, providing mentorship and practical training, and commended our team’s proactive assistance, notably our effective troubleshooting and enhancement of the venue’s IT network infrastructure. Michael Clewes from Red Globe provided critical support in troubleshooting, rigging installation, and configuration, ensuring smooth and efficient execution of all technical elements.
